How long is the Course?
Course is designed to be completed in 30 hours, which is in line with the state requirement. But guess what? You don't have to do it all in one go! Feel free to pause, log out, and come back whenever it suits you. We've got your back with saving all your progress, so you can pick up right where you left off.
How Many Chapter Does it have?
Does the Course have Quiz?
Just a heads up about the quizzes! After you finish each chapter, there'll be a quiz waiting for you. It's super easy, just 3 questions, and they're all multiple-choice. Final quiz just has one question which is just an oath to follow road rules.
What if you fail the quiz? No worries, you get unlimited attempts to pass the quiz :)
How do I get my Certificate?
We understand how important it is to have your official Certificate of Completion for the California DMV. While you'll receive a diploma for your records, please note that the DMV only accepts the original completion certificate.
Don't worry, we've got you covered! We'll swiftly process and mail your official Certificate of Completion (CA DMV Form DL 400C) using the delivery method you selected during registration.
If you find yourself needing the certificate urgently, just reach out to us before or right after completing the course, and we'll happily arrange expedited shipping options such as FedEx Overnight or 2-Day delivery (additional charges apply).
Our daily routine includes printing and mailing certificates the business day following your completion date.
Lastly, please keep in mind that it's your responsibility to submit the original Certificate (Form 400C) to the DMV when you take your provisional (learner’s) permit exam. If you have any questions or need assistance, feel free to reach out. We're here to support you!
What to do next?
- Be at least 15 ½ but under 18.
- Have a Certificate of Completion/Enrollment of Driver Education.
- Complete the California Driver’s License or ID Card Application.
- Have a parent(s)/guardian(s) sign the application.
- Visit a DMV office (schedule an appointment), where you will:
- Bring your California Identification Card or proof of identity and residency. (Federal Noncompliant (PDF)/REAL ID/AB60)
- Pay the application fee.
- Pass a vision exam.
- Take a photo.
- Take the knowledge test(s). There are multiple choice questions based on the California Driver’s Handbook, and a passing score is 80%.
